hair in the 1980s [Lottie's]

the 1980s was the time for big and bold hair. today in Lottie's lesson we looked at the 80s and how to create the 80s hair style.

To achieve this look you will need

  • tale comb
  • hair brush
  • curling tongs
  • back combing brush
  • hair grips

how to

  • tong the hair using madiam to large curling tongs
  • secure each tonged section with a hair grip
  • then wait for it to cool down when you have finished curling the hair

  •  when the curls have cooled down, remove the hair grips
  • then using a back combing brash section the crown of the head and back comb
  • then smooth the rest of the hair in place using a brush

Above is the end results.

The 80s was also known for the afro look. to achieve this you will need
  • wide hair pins
  • tale comb
  • straightener
  • small hair grips
  • afro comb

how to

  • using a tale comb section the hair into small section
  • then using the wide hair pins, weave the hair in in a S motion
  • do this till all the hair the section is in then using a straighter, press and hold the weaved hair for a few seconds then realise.
  • using a small hair grip, secure the ends of the crimped section and allow to cool
  • continual this to the whole head
  • once its all done, unravel the weaves hair and using a afro pic, comb the hair to the desired afro style

reflection

I really enjoyed doing the 80s look. especially the first look, using the tong and then back combing to achieve the look. however creating an afro was not as fun. i found it time consuming and i run out of time at the end.
in my spare time i will try to Finnish the afro look.
